Ryan Commerson confirmed that she still has tenure in the ASL department, regardless of the BoT’s decision. The BoT simply terminated her as president-elect. Her tenure remains. I can’t imagine her trying to teach ASL classes under MJ as chair of the department, can you? What do you think will happen to JK? Will she take her 900 thousand dollars (her reimbursement as stated in contract in event of her termination) and just retire in Aruba? Maybe she’ll go on to work for AGB? Or will she dig in her heels, finagle a transfer to the English department and teach Comparative Literature? Maybe Shirley will give up the Honors Program to JK? Ha, my theories are getting wilder… but what do you guys think? Where will JK end up?

Does MJ has Phd yet or not. I noticed she only has MA degree level. If so, how can she be a chair without Ph.d Degree???

President IKJ and Vice President Paul Kelly would come up with something that places her on administrative leave with pay, of course. We need to get rid of them so we could keep JKF under the microscope to understand why she had been very, very oppressive toward the Deaf community and its language, ASL.

JKF is ending up in a limbo.

Comment by rayni 30 October, 2006 @ 6:15 pmPresident of Gallaudet…wait and see. I don’t support it but something was fishy about the language in the BOT statement yesterday. Fishy, I tell ya. They simply terminated her as president-elect. That does not mean they can’t act unilaterally to appoint her as president effective next week. Two different positions. Here’s hoping I’m just being paranoid!

Yikes. MJ will eat her alive. If she still holds tenure, I pray she will respectfully turn in her tenure, grab the severance pay and flee.

And why should Jane want to keep herself under your “microscope”? No one should have to apologize for their life experiences and signing background. We oral deaf, hoh and late-deafened adults work with what we are given in life the best we can and move on with our lives.

In her interview with Jane Jonas, she expected to be in the “solitary” occupation of translating written French and English documents.

I don’t understand why JKF has to teach ASL while she is obviously won’t heal herself by attacking us on the media news! She embarrassed our Deaf Culture with NO RESPECT!
Get rid of all the IJK’s BoT? or contact other BoT who will be able to listen to FSSA’s comments?
